Merrillville Veterans Memorial

On November 11, 2006, this veteran's memorial was dedicated at a temporary site in Merrillville, Indiana.

It depicts four United States service members—a World War I doughboy, a World War II marine, a twentieth century sailor, a modern day fighter pilot—and a civil war soldier raising the U.S. flag.

In 2007 the sculpture will be unveiled at the permanent site, the Merrillville/Ross Township Veteran's Memorial Plaza.
